Research conducted by YouGov reveals that more than a third of LGBT staff have hidden their sexual orientation or gender identity at work for fear of discrimination. The figure is higher for trans staff at 51% and for BAME LGBT staff at 42%. Across all sectors, employers can take straightforward steps to support their LGBT staff and ensure their workforce wellbeing is prioritised.
