The events of the last year have put fire and rescue services into the spotlight. Serious incidents and tragedies have raised questions over the safeguards in place to prevent fires and respond to emergencies. In a climate of reduced budgets and Government reform, services are under more pressure than ever to deliver effective fire prevention and protection.

Join us at the Fire Safety Conference 2018 to hear from Rod McLean, Head of Fire Safety Unit, Home Office. This is an opportunity to explore the national landscape post-Grenfell, consider the impact of recent reforms and assess your strategy for fire safety in your area.

Key Issues to be Addressed Include:

  • Reforms to the Fire and Rescue Service: Overview and Update
  • New priorities for fire protection and prevention
  • Updating plans for major fires and incidents
  • Interim findings from the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety
  • Providing an effective service with constrained budgets
  • Preparing for tomorrow: the changing role of fire & rescue services
  • Collaboration through partnership: working with local partners
